What To Do At The Zoologico de Vallarta

One of the zoo’s major perks is that visitors are allowed to feed the animals that live there. It’s strange to give animals in your own zoo slices of bread or peanuts, but maybe you’re feeling bad for them!

While you encounter different animals, small, secure containers are available to you with different healthy treats such as carrots, wheat, animal biscuits, etc. Each animal that was there to be fed had a sign up that stated what they wanted to eat.

I suggest providing the zoo animals with a small treat. I ran out of treats in my tour and had to buy more. The treats are affordable, so this is a good deal.

Do not use a flash when allowed for taking photographs. If the staff cannot guarantee this opportunity anywhere else, you should not miss out on the gift.

The zoo also has a unique small cafe with several seats, tables and guillotines (inside and outdoors), you can get some food if you go down. The menu includes sandwiches, tacos, burritos, burgers, nuggets, chicken wings and meats, coffee, beer, and soft drinks.

There are many paths to walk through the zoo, and you may wind up walking some distance. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and plenty of water. You may find a store at the entrance of the zoo which is well-stocked, with reasonable prices. There is also a canteen where you can purchase refreshments.

I recommend bringing insect repellent with you, especially during dry season. Shade from trees does not provide substantial protection from the sun.
